About Streetlight Grace

At Street Light Grace, we believe hope shines brightest in the darkest places. Every Monday from 4–7 p.m. at Awaken Church in El Cajon, Californiaour team gathers to serve individuals and families in need with dignity, honesty, and love.

We serve those experiencing homelessness, individuals battling addiction, and members of our community facing hardship—including those in vulnerable or exploitative situations—by creating a space where truth, care, and real support meet.

We offer more than just a hot meal and a haircut—we offer truth, prayer, and a pathway forward. Our mission is not to make difficult situations more comfortable, but to make the road toward stability, healing, and independence more accessible.

In addition to our weekly outreach, we provide daily food distribution in Santee, supporting low-income individuals and families with consistent access to nourishment and care.

Our Mission
We exist to:

  • Provide hot meals, haircuts, and essential resources as opportunities for personal connection.

  • Serve low-income individuals and families with ongoing food support and community care.

  • Share the truth about fentanyl—a deadly substance destroying lives and communities.

  • Create bridges to detox programs, recovery resources, safe housing, and long-term support systems.

  • Offer prayer, encouragement, and consistent follow-through for those ready to take the next step.

  • Reach individuals in vulnerable and at-risk situations with compassion, discretion, and pathways to safety and restoration.

  • Focus on real, lasting solutions that help people move forward—not remain stuck in cycles of hardship.

We are intentional in how we serve. Every meal, every haircut, and every conversation is an opportunity to build trust and guide someone toward real change.

Rather than focusing solely on temporary relief, we prioritize long-term transformation—connecting people to the resources, relationships, and support systems that help them rebuild their lives. We meet people where they are, while encouraging and equipping them to move forward.

Our Heart
We believe every person has inherent worth, dignity, and a future beyond their current circumstances. Whether someone is facing homelessness, financial hardship, addiction, or other unseen struggles, we walk alongside them with compassion, truth, and unwavering hope.

Through practical support and spiritual encouragement, we help individuals and families step out of darkness and into a life marked by stability, purpose, and grace.
